If you have never heard of the Mike Tyson push up, you need to give this one a try. It is really a combination of several movements and this video will show you how to do it.

The best way to describe the Mike Tyson push up may be that it is a combination of the standard push up, a squat and a pike push up.

Doing The Exercise

Start with your feet braced against a wall in a standard push up position and lower to the ground. Then, on the way up, move into a squat position. This will naturally move you into a pike push up position. Reverse this movement and repeat, keeping your core tight.

Muscles Worked

Since this is a combination of many exercises it works many muscle groups. The standard push up portion will work your chest and triceps. The squat will work your quadriceps and the pike push up will target your shoulders. In addition, you will need to use your core to stabilize yourself during the movement.

Should You Do The Mike Tyson Push Up

You may not want the Mike Tyson push up to be a part of your regular routine, but it is a nice occasional addition. Throw it into the mix from time to time in order to keep things fresh.
