This goes hand in hand with calorie tracking. Your tracking is only as accurate as your portion sizing. Unfortunately, because of fast food, we have a bad idea of what a real portion size is. Get a food scale and start tracking. Not forever, but at least a few weeks.

Not Eating Enough Protein

Protein is key if you want to build muscle. Muscle that will burn more calories. You should be getting roughly 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. This protein will also help you feel full because it promotes satiety and this will help you stay on your fitness journey.
